Our Good Bones transformed into a participatory budgeting tool during Sure We Can’s Alliance of Independent Recyclers meeting. Members of A.I.R. took turns playing dominoes, and when they won, were able to put their earnings towards the items they wanted to spend the money on. Categories emerged from a brainstorming session that included mutual aid, safety gear, and the item that folks voted for most with their money—shirts that bear the A.I.R. branding.
